The Blame Game: Chapter 1
Sunday - Ponyville
Three weeks to go until the ship of nuptuality docks in the bay of forever (I thought that was quite poetic)
Dear diary,
Pinkie Pie has invaded my life. This is everything in a nutshell right now.
"OHMIGOSH, and we're gonna have cake and streamers and music and cake and flowers and dresses and cake and vows and romance and cake and punch and dancing and CAKE!!!!!!!"
...
"Did I mention the cake?"
Walking down Stirrup Street alongside Pinkie in her madness mode
"Pinkie, you've been to weddings before. Quit acting like this is your first!"
"I knoooow!" said Pinkie. "But this is yours and Applejack's wedding! That alone makes

6:07pm - Celebratory Hall (still) - reception after-party
Dear diary,
Decided to skip the reception outta my account of Zest's wedding, purely because IT WAS BORING.
The food was nice, and the speeches were okay... but OH, the CONVERSATION.
MANEHATTANS HAVE NO LIVES.
One minute later
Plus I am still recovering from AJ having caught the bouquet and therefore by tradition becoming the next mare to be married. I can't look at her without getting the chills now.
At one point I mistook her tying her shoelace back up for a proposal. I got all panicky and sweaty and when she looked up at me and said, "You really like my shoes, huh?" all I could scre
Saturday - WEDDING DAY!!!
7:42am - In bed
Dear diary,
“Applejack, I am glued to the bed.”
Pretty much.
“Get up, Dash. No time fer foalin’ around!”
7am, on a Saturday. This should be illegal.
Fifteen minutes of extreme pain and suffering in the form of having to get out of bed later
AJ almost had to feed me my pancakes this morning. I don’t know which is worse: that mid-life crisis or turning into a zombie before even getting the opportunity to “hit a home run”, as Pinkie Pie says. (I swear, I don’t think I’m ever gonna get the hang of this ‘base’ thing.) I really hate m

A Scratch on the Surface Ch. 2
On the other side of Equestria, a different Monday was beginning.
Octavia Rose Allegra was already up, washed and fed by the time the sun was rising slowly from the horizon. Today was a big day for the humble cellist; today, Mayor Mare would announce who would be running and organising the annual Ponyville Music Festival, and of course, Octavia was desperate to play a part.
Octavia was a prestigious musician; graduated from the Royal School of Music in Canterlot, and had won more classical music accolades than you could shake a stick at. In her hooves, the Music Festival would be a classy, elegant celebration that would attract custom from

A Scratch on the Surface Ch. 1
Dawn broke slowly on Manehattan. The city was already awoken and full of noise - of course, Manehattan was possibly the one area of Equestria that never slept - but now there was the distinct sounds of hustling and bustling; morning workers piling into offices and setting up for a day's work; market stalls being constructed and furnished, laden with goods of all kinds to sell in the squares; retailers turning over the "CLOSED" signs on their shop windows and opening the doors wide to custom. Ponies of all kinds were waking in a way that was clouded over with disappointment and dread; even the weather reflected the general mood as a low mist c
Thursday
3pm - Manehattan Celebratory Hall
Dear diary,
HUGE hall is HUGE. More and more glitter. Wow.
The wedding room isn't fully decorated yet, but it still looks magnificent. I just know it's going to be spectacular, almost as good as Twilight's brother's wedding! So excited!!!
So me, AJ and the other bridesmaids are gonna carry Zest's train (dress, not vehicle...) when she walks down the aisle with her dad, then we stand by her for the vows and such and look pretty. It's not much, but to me it's the AWESOMEST thing. I've never been a bridesmaid before.
Then, after the wedding itself, we'll move to the dining hall for the reception
9:44pm
The rain started to fall and it mingled with my tears. I had reached the apartment, and I looked up at the top tower.
It really wouldn't be that hard to do. Just get up there - fly, even - and stand on the ledge, before...
A voice. It was quiet, but it was there.
"Rainbow! Rainbow! Oh, Rainbow...!"
I turned around and saw an orange blur in a silver dress. Applejack.
I cried harder, my legs faltering, my front hooves reaching out for her. She found me, sweeping me right off the ground and into her arms. She kissed me until my crying subsided, before taking me through the apartment reception and up to our room. I closed my eyes as

Tuesday
9am - My room
Dear diary,
Didn't write in here yesterday, I was sleeping for most of it. I was awake all of Sunday night worrying. We have the fillynight tonight.
I want to go home.
Half an hour later
I mooched around in our room for ages before AJ came in. We kissed for a while before she suggested we go into town together.
"What for?"
"Anythin' ya like! Ah got some spendin' money, thought it might be good fun to
Sunday
8:13am - Breakfast
Dear diary,
Had a dream last night where I was a flying moose and Applejack was a goldfish and we were lamenting in woe over how our love could never be.
What is wrong with my brain????
Five minutes later
When I told AJ about it, she went all deep and weird.
"Maybe it's yer head tryin' to tell ya somethin'."
"Like what?" I asked.
"Like... that ya... don't wanna lose me. An' that the slightest change could shake somethin' up in yer life."
"How do you know that?!"
"Ah got this... dream dictionary thing. Got it fer my birthday."
Dream dictionary??
Dear Celestia, nobody told me I was dating Twilight Spark
